IBM TS4500 Broblem FC connection to Host Linux

    Hi,

       I have issue about TS4500 FC connection to Linux server, It can see device driver is correctly but start backup is state fail. this issue the customer use Netbackup 9.x

      I not sure this issue about hardware or software, This issue can solve?

    Let me rephrase what I think you said. There is an issue connecting TS4500 to a LINUX server. The device driver sees the TS4500 correctly and the tape drive correctly (i.e., there is a device special file (e.g., tape0; chngr0) for both the TS4500 and the tape drive). A backup using NetBackup 9.x is started but fails.

    Please provide:

    1) details about how it fails. What error does NBU present?

    2) what tape drive type is being used (e.g., LTO9, TS1160)?

    3) does a cartridge get mounted correctly?

    4) anything else that might be of value to those of us who try to provide useful troubleshooting.
