IBM DS3524 question

  • 1.  IBM DS3524 question

    Posted Wed October 21, 2020 10:03 AM

I have an IBM DS3524 on my home network. It has the firmware which is the previous one to the most recent release. I am also using the latest manager. When I attempt to flash the controller or NVRAM with the latest firmware I get an error that suggests I need to the the manager from 3 revisions ago. When I install that manager it refuses to work saying it's too old and I need to install the recent version of the manager.

Does anyone know how to fix or get around this?

I also installed an IBM 600GB 10K RPM SAS drive into the SAN and extended the volume out. The light on the drive stays green pretty much. Has anyone experienced this?

    Thanks,
