    The benefits with backing up SAP ASE using Spictera SPFS is that one can utilize normal filesystem operations to browse, copy the backups etc.
    How does it work?

    Just mount the Spictera SPFS on the PATH or DRIVELETTER where you want the data to land from the Progress backup utility.
    # mount -t spfs /backup

    If you want a faster backup or shorter restore time, than Spictera Snapshot can be a good option
    Spictera Snapshot takes database snapshot of your SAP ASE databases, stored on the IBM Spectrum Protect server, with a nearly instant restore to almost any place.
