    Hello,

    I need assistance with determining how many times a particular tape has been erased using the IBM Tape Diagnostic Tool (ITDT) or directly via the console. I am using an IBM TS4300 tape library.

    Details:
    Tape Library Model: IBM TS4300
    Tape Type: LTO 9
    Tape Number: xxx000
    Tool: IBM Tape Diagnostic Tool (ITDT)

    Specific Questions:
    How can I use the ITDT tool to check the erase count of a specific tape (e.g., tape number xxx000)?

    Are there specific commands within ITDT that provide this information?

    Is it possible to retrieve the erase count directly from the TS4300 console? If so, how?

    Any guidance or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
