Hello:
This is my first post in this Community Storage Mainframe forum. I have a problem related with old IBM DS8300 TotalStorage system. There have been a couple of years disconnected, but for older record recovery reasons, I had to put them online again.
The problem raises when I tried to use TPC for Storage to connect to their DS Storage Manager and power them on. When I go to login page, and I enter user and password, appear the error CMUN80000E: The DS Network is unavailable. So I can´t start the equipment.
I circunvent the problem going to the frame HMC, login as CE to the HMC code and start manually the two POWER 570 servers and LPARs, changing the Remote back switch to local and push the switch to on to boot up the system, and SFI LPARs booted correctly without problems (well, some Service events logged because battery depleted and change issues because more than 3 years passed since the last change) but fortunately as the LPARs with the ESS code in the two POWER 570 were OK, all Ranks, Storage groups, CUs and 3390 volumes and well as PAVs were there, so the system started running and we could IPL the LPAR in the old Mainframe.
But, we have a huge problem, that is, we can not access to DS Storage manager to change configuration or power off the system, because the CMNU80000E error. I checked that the DS Storage Manager Websphere App is up and running -in fact, the website is online, the error raises when you try to log in-. I also checked the CIM server and agent were running, as well as FSNI Server, everything seems to be up and running inside the HMC.
I looked the documentation, I reset the HMC and also looked if there were many users connected (that was not the case), so the error could not be fixed.
Also we had another DS8300 that we used to backup in Metro-mirror and we brig it up also, and the problem is the same, reaises the same CMUN80000E error. I think that in those years, maybe some certificate would expire or something, because is ver weird that the two DS8300, powered off two years ago, and powered back on yesterday, had the exact same error in both of them.
I checked the TOD clock and HMC clock and everything is OK, the HMC can access to the POWER 570 systems and can boot up LPAR that has the code to virtualize the storage, bringing up Arrays, Ranks, Pools, CUs and volumes.
Of course, those systems don't have any maintenance from IBM as there was migrated to other machines, so do I have any chance to recover the systems and log in to DS Storage Manager again like before?
I'm looking forward to any help.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best Regards,
