Hi Maria,
You will need to have the following IP Addresses:
1. DS8000 CEC0/1 IPs Addresses – These IP addresses are undefined ports on the DS8k. They are extra, unused ports on existing Ethernet adapters. To define them you will need to do a setnetworkport on the DSCLI to configure them. These IP addresses must be entered into the TS7700 by an IBM SSR. Note: it is recommended you use 10Gb Ethernet on both the DS8k and TS7700.
2. TS7700 GRID IP links - If your system is already a grid (two or more TS7700 clusters), these IP addresses are already configured. If this is a stand-alone TS7700, you would need to run cables and an IBM SSR will need to configure the grid link ports to use them. These IP addresses will be entered into the DS8k using the DSCLI using the mkcloudserver command.
3. When you set up the Cloud Network Connection Construct on the Z ISMF panel, it will require a URL to the DS8000 HMC. This would be a separate set of Ethernet ports that (I think) are on the same adapter as #1 above. These ports should already be set up on your DS8k so you just need to find the information.

Subject: DS8000 Ethernet Configuration / Configuring DS8000 IP addresses in TS7700
Hi Lourie/team,
I would like to ask:
1. What are the IP addresses that needs to be defined when we configure the DS8K Ethernet ports, is it the TS7700 GRID IP addresses?
2. How do I obtain the following information if the client didn't set this on the DS8K?
DS8000 Primary IP address for CEC0
DS8000 Primary IP address for CEC1
Thank you,
Maria
