There is no procedure available to move IBM Spectrum Control to a new server or to change the host name, or IP address on an existing server. This restriction also applies to moving it to a different partition or file system.

You can install IBM Spectrum Control on a new server and consider keeping the original server around to reference the historical data until it is no longer needed. As an alternative, IBM Systems Lab Services has the expertise that might be able to help you migrate to a new server.  Note: Requirements vary by environment.

    With this service you'll get:

–Summary document describing the installation and configuration steps and parameters used to implement IBM Spectrum Control.

–Skills enablement and guidance on best practices for IBM Spectrum Control.
