Have you ever wondered if your infrastructure is healthy and optimized to the last tidbit ?   The Advisor feature in IBM Storage Insights is here to help. To view the Advisor, open the details page of a storage device and click Advisor under the General section:
    advisor table
The Advisor page contains a wealth of information about what might not be configured effectively on your device. It also references the related redbook or blog to help you better understand why a particular recommendation was provided.

Similar to the Alerts, a severity is associated with each recommendation, so ensure that you evaluate the most critical ones first and implement as soon as possible for best results. Some of these recommendations might be informational only, so if you decide not to act on them right away, you can acknowledge and address them at a later time.

To see more details about a recommendation, simply double click it and the details will slide into view:

Hi Tiberiu, I know some recommended actions are caused by conditions that occur regularly and can be ignored. How can I acknowledge those recommended actions to indicate that they were reviewed and don't require immediate attention?  Is there a procedure for that situation?

    Hello Bob,

Indeed these recommendations are happening on a daily base (if your device is configured to Call Home) and are evaluated if these were corrected or not.  If you don't want to be bothered on the next day check, simply right click and select "acknowledge" :

at the top you will have a tally of unacknowledged recommendations .
