IBM Spectrum Control 5.4.2 and later supports Windows and Linux VMs running on VMware ESXi 7.0.x Hypervisors. For specifics on the current support, go to

    Hi Bob,
Could you explain what the significance of the LUN correlation is in this release?  Is this the ability to report from VM's using a data store right down to the LUN detailing useful metrics?  I noticed vVol's are not supported yet, is this coming down the line?
We have had a customer asking about something similar, so I am keen to understand some more.
    Thanks
    Adam

Hi Adam. Regarding your question: Is this the ability to report from VM's using a data store right down to the LUN detailing useful metrics?  Spectrum control development conveyed this "Correct: such correlation from subsystem to datastore to VM using the storage will be missing.  In terms of useful metrics-wise, they will be mostly capacity data.  You can also post to the # control-help channel on Slack to get further information and feedback.
