    I have a simple question and hope I will receive a simple answer

    I want to know if the following storage still supported by IBM and the warranty can be renewed or not?

    Storage : IBM V5000 Storewize
    MT: 2078 24 E
    SN: 7895161

    By this information, you can renew the service contract for this product until 31/12/2022.

    Hope you are doing well, As per below URL, the product is discontinued from service in Dec-22 and hence as per my best knowledge you can refresh the warranty by that period. However check further with your seniors in case any other info they have.

    Hi Omar,

     

    Unfortunately The Product is discontinued from the IBM Support Services as per Sales published sales manual by IBM. Therefore you might approach some third party vendors in the local market for extended support. However I belief the new models of the same family are available so I suggest you to look into technology refresh options.

    Hi ,

     

    Just a little correction in my appended email (my apologies as I didn't see the service discontinuation dates correctly ), I believe Claiton Zanella's response is very appropriate you can renew the warranty support within the mentioned time frame. Better contact to your local (liaison) IBM office.  

     

    But still I suggest a tech refresh as an option.
