IBM MDP VODCAST 1008 - Architecting for Faster Recoveries

Data protection in the old days was all about making sure you had a copy of your data somewhere "just in case" you needed to find it.  Recovery "time" was not a thing, it was just about being able to get it back.  When I worked for VERITAS 20 years ago, there was no such thing as "RTO".  As time moved forward we decided we needed to get the data back faster.  And now with all the things affecting the ability to recover data quickly, especially things like the 'laws of physics', creating an architecture for your backups that lets you meet your recover time objectives for ALL your data is not easy to achieve.  Listen to Tricia, Sean, Randy and Steve provide some tips for things to do to architect  your backups for fast recovery.
