Autonomous infrastructure is becoming part and parcel of a data center design, consisting of autonomous systems that are self-learning, self-automizing, self-tuning and self-healing. At its core, an intelligent storage infrastructure looks at the impact on the application, as the most critical criteria with respect to what is considered the norm, what is considered the cost opportunity of application degradation or disruption, etc. In part two of this panel discussion with Moor Insights analyst, Steve McDowell, IBM and Brocade discuss how their SAN solution, as the fabric between the app and the data, learn and optimize autonomously, based on the environment.
