Hi Carol,
There are instances where Android devices will wipe, or remove control, and for some reason that action does not report back to the portal in time to update the status. If you've verified that the devices aren't actually managed anymore, you may use the "Hide" action in the device view to remove them from the portal inventory, and free up licenses.

Good morning -- I help manage our agency's smartphone devices. We have company owned devices managed with KME and Maas360. I have 2 Galaxy S8's that are stuck in "Pending control removal" status. I need to remove them to add new users, as we are at our license limit. I have searched the knowledge center and have not found anything that has solved this. Has anyone else experience this?
