  • 1.  Problem with login in ISIM console

    Hello community,

    we made an installation of IBM Identity Manager VA v10.0.1.1 and setup everything - DB2 and LDAP. The problem is when I try to login in isim console for the first time with default credentials - itim manager/ secret, it gives me un error -"login failed. Wrong username, password or the account is disable".

    What may be the problem ?

    Normally this is caused by the ldap not running or running in configuration mode only. Also check the the application logs (WAS stdout and ISIM trace.log ) in the LMI.

    Check that - if this is not the case something is wrong in your environment - and as this can be a lot of things failing you will probably need IBM Support to help you out - get a case out of the door :-)

    The installation is virtual appliance and in application trace log I find an error - " DB2 SQL ERROR: SQLCODE=-204, SQLSTATE=42704, SQLERRMC=ITIMUSER.SCHEDULED_MESSAGE, DRIVER=3.72.24"

    This looks like your password for the ITIMUSER is not correct in ISIM. Can you check in the LMI whether your database connection is able to connect ?

    I reconfigure the db2 connection and error is the same. The default login and password are store in SDSs DB2, am I right? Is it possible to create a new a user with the same properties as default user. I think there is some problem with this user, because when I SDS and DB2 connection I don`t give me an error.

    Hello,

    Did you control isim access.log, trace.log?
    Did you check itimuser db group membership?
    If you use Directory Suite, Are you sure Ldap instance Server started? It is not starting automatically.
