We all know security education is an ongoing endeavor – but there's no reason we can't celebrate the 'back to school' season with a fun Community-wide contest. So, let's all go back to security school!

To participate, reply to this discussion thread with an answer to the following question:

How has the IBM Security Community helped advance your product knowledge?

Feel free to share a tip you learned during a webinar, a suggestion a fellow product user gave you at an in-person meeting, or a piece of advice discovered on the discussion boards.

Bottom line: If you learned it on Community and it helped make your job easier, share it here for a chance to win! And don't forget to call out the product you're describing with a hashtag — for instance

The IBM Security Community has increased my knowledge as well as increased my awareness of security related concerns.
We are currently evaluating IBM Data Power from a DMZ / Proxy perspective looking to potentially leverage the deep and ever emerging security framework being offered by this IBM product.

Huge thanks to everyone who has replied to this thread and shared a lesson you've learned as a member of our Community. My own favorite part of being in this Community is seeing the way you all share experiences, build relationships and learn from each other.

Post your own answer to the following question by Sept. 1 for a chance to win some great IBM Security swag!

    Hi All,
this community is the place to go when the info you're looking for is not in the documentation. I've been a Qradar admin for over two years, and I'm still learning new stuff here.

The thing I appreciate the most is that we have access to IBM experts. That's a great advantage other forums don't ofer.

    Thanks!

For me, the single most useful aspect of the IBM Security Community is the Community Events calendar. This week alone I'll get to participate in several webinars...
Secure Your Data with Built-In Encryption for Backups - Without Losing Your Mind! (IBM Informix),
The Rise of Destructive Malware and What You Need to Know (X-Force IRIS), and
Stop Isolation with zSecure and QRadar: Real-time protection, risk analysis, alerts and mitigation (zSecure and QRadar) to name a few.

These all provide great value and are all courtesy of the IBM Security Community.
