  • 1.  Integration and implementation of zSecure 3.1 Questions

    Hello xChange,

    I've come to learn that our part-time duties using zSecure for various tasks will soon become more involved and require our full-time attention.  I'd like the members of this xChange group opinions on an approach to training, exploiting zSecure and all it's major parts and pieces into a virgin environment, LPAR for our testing and education.  Would anyone be able to offer training companies that could remotely help us understand each of the components of zSecure and what they can offer us when exploited, configure, and run on a daily basis?  

    Appreciate your feedback from users and our host IBM zSecure Development!

    Hi Lynn,

    I work for the zSecure Development Lab in Delft. When you check out the IBM training offerings webpage (https://www.ibm.com/training/security) and you search for keyword zSecure, you will find more than 50 zSecure-related presentations, recordings, webinars, and other collateral that you and your team members can access remotely at no extra cost. 

    Also, when you just Google on something along the lines of 'zSecure training' or 'zSecure education' , you will discover that several companies besides IBM offer all kinds of remote/virtual zSecure education sessions to learn more about the various functions and features of components that are part of the IBM Security zSecure suite. 

    I myself only offer several zSecure classroom courses, but none of them remotely. Thus, that is probably of no help to you.

    Hello Tom,

    Thanks very much.  After writing the exchange I needed to advise my colleagues how to take advantage of the IBM xChange for Security and saw many of those links you described.  I detailed to my colleagues how to sign-in and request their own id's and access. 

     

    I've been in touch with Rob and we are going to coordinate a date and time that he can give us a tour thru zSecure.
