Yea, you can't uninstall Guardium that way. The best way to uninstall is to run the uninstall script.
From your location, it would have been in /opt/guardium/modules/GIM/current/uninstall.pl
But since it is deleted, you are going to have to do it the manual way. And you will have to reboot.

We'd like to uninstall Guardium S-TAP which was installed via GIM, but there is an issue with our network and therefore we can't do it via GIM. In this situation, how do we uninstall Guardium S-TAP directly on the DB server? |

Also, you can uninstall the STAP from the UI in some cases, then follow up with the GIM uninstall and reset the GIM in the CM.

Subject: AIX - GIM & STAP Installation and Uninstallation Issue
Hi,
Need urgent help for below issue.
Tried to uninstall GIM & STAP in AIX server and encountered an error. so just deleted the folder containing GIM & STAP and rebooted the server.
Then tried to install the 11.4 Gim & Stap but got below error.

then created folders (/guardium/modules) manually , then tried to install but still getting below error.

Please suggest.
Thanks,
Sathya Narayanan.J
