I'm lucky enough to witness the Z Security Master Skills class here in Austin this week with zSecure and Guardium tracks. My favorite thing (thus far) is meeting clients, business partner and fellow IBMers that are passionate about their jobs and generous with their knowledge, experience and biggest challenges. Nothing is more valuable to a marketer like me than hearing first-hand accounts of the problems we are trying to solve for our customers.

    How about you?

It's great to see people I haven't seen in a few years and watch the IBM experts share their knowledge and answer questions.  Thanks for the candy Mark Nelson.

My favorite thing about the Z Security #MasterSkills class in Austin is the interaction between users, developers, SMEs, and product architects. In Z Security we are lucky enough to have customers so happy to be using our tools that they want to share their experience with other users. That is awesome!

Learning all the creative ways that our clients are using RACF, especially learning about things that I didn't know before (like system symbol support in the V2R3 PARMLIB support)!

Loved hearing from all the experts and learning about the new enhancements waiting for us to upgrade.  We have already identified how to make use of one of the tips we learned to clean up those extra 100,000 RACF resource profiles we have for CA View reports.  We think using the yearly access monitor file and a copy of our RACF database to test our changes will help us ensure a successful cleanup project.

It was great to meet all the security experts!

My favorite thing about the Z Security #MasterSkills class in Austin is listening to our customers and finding out how they are using our products, and how enthusiastic they are about learning new ways to use the products.
