Great step by step, thank you.

Would you happen to have any suggestions on specs or layout for a lab environment?
Just enough to get up and running to demo.

    Hi Jody,

ICP with logging and meetering are CPU eaters so do not share ICP master's CPU with other machines (if possible) or for lab purposes you can safely disable these features. I tried install GI on my strong notebook (128 GB RAM, 6 cores and SDD) - without success. It must be real server platform.

I have plan to install GI on CentOS - first few tries without success but I see possible solutions.

Thanks for sharing the detailed steps.
Any idea if GI could be installed on OKD Minishift (single-node OC cluster) for demo/test purposes?

I think that is not supported.
It should work with OKD on Centos but minimum 3 nodes are required (GlusterFS is a requirement)
Be aware that OpenShift is base for ICP and then GI.
Even on 3 nodes assume huge CPU and RAM entry point to serve supporting stuff.
