Android Devices re-enrolling themselves

Bryn Abbott recently brought this up ... but I'm experiencing the same issue but on Android devices.  If we remove control of the device and actively hide it, sometimes the device will heartbeat in afterwards and then re-enroll itself as an active device record.  This happens randomly and I'm unable to find a pattern.  (Android version, DA vs Android Enterprise mode, etc.).  This is not being installed from a backup.  Thoughts here?

    Hi Ray -

The only thing that comes to mind immediately is that the "Remove Control" command didn't deliver or complete on the device for some reason.  MDM protocols should override any settings in the policy that would prevent factory reset, so I don't think that policy is the root cause here.  The devices themselves - do you have anyway to get one in hand and verify whether or not MaaS360 is still active?

They devices themselves are at our depot.  I'll have to get a hold of one the next time it happens.  Anything else I need to ask or find out on these tablets next time besides this?
