Bulk delete devices

Is there any way to delete more than one device at a time? I have well over 400 and my OCD is making me want to remove the old devices.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Brandon -

When you say "delete" do you mean removing control from enrolled devices in bulk or just removing device records from the portal for devices no longer enrolled?

If it's the latter, you could group devices together by a common thread (usually with old device records it's easiest to do so by "Last Checked In More Than XX Days Ago" (for instructions on creating device groups: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS8H2S/com.ibm.mc.doc/pag_source/tasks/pag_devices_searching.htm)

Once the group of these old device records is created, navigate to Devices > Groups, find the group name, hover over "More" underneath the name, and select "Hide."  You'll have the option to make this apply to all new devices that populate the group.  This means that once a day, the group will check for new devices that have not reported in XX amount of days and automatically hide them for you.

    Hope this helps

Hey Matt, thanks for the reply. I mean delete them.

I have about 453 Inactive devices and I want to remove them forever. They aren't coming back. I know it's probably fine to leave them inactive, but I'd still like them gone just because I think it's messy to leave all of them there, even hidden.

We do offer the bulk hide (mark as inactive, remove from inventory), but not the bulk delete at this time (some of the reasoning being that we didn't want our admins to confuse the actions and mistakenly hard delete devices that they needed to maintain some record of).

If you shoot me an email with a CSV file and your account number then I can have our teams run it for you to clear out the data.
