  • 1.  Home to change email address in MaaS360 app?

    Posted Wed August 14, 2019 10:03 AM
Our company recently changed domain name from OldCompany.com to NewCompany.com.
But both email adresses, user@oldcompany.com and user@newcompany.com, are still functioning and linked to the same user.

Users reported to me that when they do a reply all to messages in the MaaS360 Mail app that their NewCompany email address is automatically added to the To: recipients list. Which is not OK as they'll get that message themselves too.

These users registered MaaS360 with their OldCompany email address.

Users who recently registered have used their NewCompany email address and don't have this issue.

So, how can we change the email account/address in the MaaS360 app?
Or does it require a reinstall/re-register of the MaaS360 app?

We've been through this before ... but slightly different with changes in UserIDs.  All in all, it's been our experience to FDR or wipe the device and re-enroll under the proper settings (ID in my case) fixes the issue.
    Hope that helps.

As Raymond said, it may require an unenroll/reenroll.

Our situation was a change in UPN and primary SMTP, and we also retained the old address as an alias or secondary proxy address.  The problem we saw was that MaaS360 held on to the original SMTP even though the user was enrolled under their SAM account name and that hadn't changed.  It resulted in the old username part of the email, but with the new domain, an address that didn't exist at all.

This affected about 20% of iOS devices and 60% of Androids.  An easy solution for iOS was to change the device from Corporate Owned to Corporate Shared, have the user log out and log back in with their new credentials.  Androids required removing control and reenrolling.

    Yes.  Exactly.

    Thank you all.
I was afraid of the answer.
