    Hi all:

    When I reviewed information and papers about this, I saw that when you upgrade the STAP agent (I started with Guardium 11 now I'm working with 11.2 and 11.3 in two companies) it is neccessary restart the server, because the KTAP that is working. So, the question is it's possible do not restart the DB server? This is because when I say that security department needs restart a DB server, the DBAs and the official of DBs create an enviroment that is questionable. Does anybody could down the old KTAP and start the new one without restart server?

    When you upgrade the Guardium STAP there is no need to restart.

    The new STAP, and the new KTAP, are automatically run, and take over; the old STAP is unloaded, and the old KTAP remains in memory but is inactive and not used. The process is completely automatic.
