MaaS360 Android Agent App Update (v8.70): Visual Enhancements 

In the upcoming release (v8.70) of the MaaS360 Android agent application, there will be significant visual updates to the icons and background images used across MaaS360 applications. These changes are part of a broader initiative aimed at aligning MaaS360's visual elements with IBM's universal User Interface (UI) standards.

Key Changes:

Updated App Icons:

• The icons for various MaaS360 applications will be refreshed to follow IBM's modern design guidelines. This ensures a cohesive and consistent look across all IBM applications, enhancing user recognition and experience.
• The new icons will adopt a more streamlined and contemporary appearance, with updated color schemes, shapes, and design elements that reflect IBM’s brand identity.

Revamped Background Images:

• Background images in the MaaS360 app will also be updated to reflect IBM’s universal UI standards. This includes the use of more modern, clean, and minimalistic design patterns.
• These backgrounds are intended to enhance the user experience by creating a more visually appealing and intuitive interface, while also maintaining consistency across different IBM software solutions.

Purpose of the Update:

These visual updates are designed to create a unified look and feel across all IBM applications, including MaaS360. The goal is to streamline the user experience by adhering to IBM’s design standards, which prioritize simplicity, clarity, and ease of use. By aligning with these standards, the MaaS360 agent app will not only look more modern but will also provide a seamless experience across the wider IBM ecosystem.

For Information:

• The previously created shortcuts will not update to the new icon automatically, which is expected behavior. After the app is updated with the new icon, please create new shortcuts to ensure they align with the updated UI.
• Remove the already created old short cuts with old UI
• To create new short cuts with new icon please follow : MaaS360 -> Settings -> Launcher Settings -> Select the Icons -> ADD TO HOME 

• After the new icon update, there will be a delay around ~8 days before the MaaS apps in the app catalog reflect the change.
