Hi community,
here's a short summary of an amazing event last week. Since Friday I am back, but still busy to process so many great moments and impressions.
The biggest highlight for me were the many personal contacts, especially @Libby Ingrassia! Great events and interesting conversations in a spectacular environment. Thank you for this opportunity to participate :)

The conference, held at the iconic MGM Grand Hotel, provided a unique opportunity for attendees to meet face-to-face in an industry where virtual interactions have become the norm.
IBM Champions Shine
The conference celebrated the contributions of #IBMChampion, individuals who have demonstrated exceptional expertise and leadership in the IBM community. These champions were not only recognized but also actively engaged in sharing their knowledge and experiences in various sessions throughout the event. Their insights and expertise were invaluable in shaping the conference's content and direction.
Diverse Sessions
IBM TechExchange23 offered a diverse range of sessions that catered to the interests and needs of attendees. Topics covered the latest advancements in IBM technologies, best practices, and case studies from leading organizations. Attendees had the opportunity to dive deep into topics like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and more. The sessions were led by industry experts and thought leaders, providing attendees with valuable insights to bring back to their organizations.
For me as well it was a great opportunity to speak for the first time in front of such a great audience at this conference! My session topic "SIEM light: mindset vs. tools" focused on SIEM Security Awareness and a mindset change, which is from my point of experience more important than ever, to align first to the security goal and then the great matured "tools", for example the IBM Security QRadar Suite Plattform, are following to be integrated in a more comfortable way and then deliver best output of results!
MGM Grand Hacked
An unexpected turn of events occurred during the conference when news broke that the MGM Grand had fallen victim to a cyberattack. While this unfortunate incident raised concerns about cybersecurity in the digital age, it also highlighted the critical importance of discussions and solutions presented at the conference regarding data protection, cyber threats, and risk mitigation.
This security incident shows once again how important it is for all of us to continually evolve and improve our SIEM security monitoring strategy and awareness mindset!

Face-to-Face Networking
One of the standout features of this conference was the ability for attendees to connect face-to-face. In an era dominated by virtual interactions, the opportunity to meet peers, mentors, and colleagues in person was a refreshing and valuable experience. Attendees exchanged ideas, forged new professional relationships, and rekindled old ones, strengthening the global IBM community.
