October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and “awareness” is the key word for this month’s episode of Behind the Shield. As a general rule, we aim to break all things cyber down into building blocks everyone can understand (that makes it actionable, folks) and this month pretty much follows that rule. But we’re also adding in a dash of AI and how it’s shaping how security functions and helps thwart the bad guys (and gals).
And speaking of intelligence, we’ve got a lot lined up for this episode. Koos Lodewijkx, who leads the CISO function for all of IBM; Seth Dobrin, IBM’s chief AI officer; and Mary O’Brien, General Manager of IBM Security. To balance out the brain power for those of us not as sharp as our three guests, we’ll be including my cohost Nick Bradley and me as well—so there will be something for everyone.
Koos will share how he’s shaping his role for IBM, and what he’s learned in his tenure as our CISO—and where he envisions taking us next. Seth will break out his crystal ball and help us understand the future of AI (and the present state) when it comes to helping organizations stay secure; and Mary will top things off by sharing real-world advice on things everyone can do to stay safer online, whether it’s in your professional or personal life.
The show will air on Wednesday, October 27 at 10 am ET U.S. There will also be a live QA session concurrent with the show where you can ask questions of our three tech genius guests, so put your thinking cap on and login.
