I’m thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the IBM Security Virtual Master Skills University, happening Sept. 21-24, 2020!
The thousands of IBM Security clients who have attended past Master Skills University events know that this is not your typical tech conference. And while a lot has changed in the world over the past half a year, our team’s commitment to providing our power users with an opportunity for deep-dive, hands-on technical learning – albeit in a modified format – is as strong as ever.
Besides the change to a virtual format, there are several more exciting updates to this year’s program.
First, due to great demand from our users, we have added several new tracks. This time around we'll be delivering tracks for QRadar Advanced, QRadar Basic, Guardium, Verify Governance (formerly IGI), Verify Access (formerly ISAM), Resilient, MaaS360 and i2 – all featuring the latest technical capabilities and deep usage insights.
Second, our acquisition of Red Hat has supercharged our insights on cybersecurity for digital transformation, and this year's Master Skills participants can expect to come away seriously excited about what Red Hat and Open Shift are bringing to IBM Security.
Finally, I’m especially looking forward to a dedicated track for IBM Cloud Pak for Security, our innovative new cloud-based microservices platform. This track will take place on the final day of the conference and is open to participants of all the other tracks. This is your chance to take a deep dive into its architecture and learn how IBM Security, Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes come together in this one-of-a-kind security solution. You’ll even get to take part in a hands-on virtual lab where you’ll use Cloud Pak for Security to investigate a cybersecurity threat.
And speaking of virtual labs, note that every one of our tracks includes not only collaborative learning sessions with the IBM technical experts, but also self-paced virtual deep-dive labs that you will be able to complete online at your convenience.
To ensure that our IBM Security power users all over the world are able to participate live, each track will be repeated twice per day, and you can sign up for either the US morning (8:00 – 11:00 AM ET) or US afternoon hours (2:00 – 5:00 PM ET). When registering, please be careful to choose the time of day that works best for you.
Learning and collaborating together with so many of you at our previous events in Orlando, London and Munich has been an incredible experience. While I regret not being able to gather together in person this autumn, I am more than confident that this Virtual Master Skills University will deliver the best of class IBM Security educational experience you’ve come to expect, and I can't wait to be there with you Sept. 21-24!
Check out all the available tracks and register now!
