IBM Security QRadar Community,

I'm publishing a series on what you can expect in the Security Track at our upcoming TechXchange conference in Las Vegas, an event we are carefully curating content for, to a target audience of techies who love to geek out and take part in shaping the future of our technology. I'll make it simple and give you the net.

What to Expect in the Security Track

Third on the list is none other than the IBM TechXchange Conference Session: Mastering Threat Hunting: Strategies, Modeling, and Modern Practices [5331]

Session Description: This lively discussion will cover the preparation needed in order for you to do an effective Threat Hunt.  We will cover strategic threat modeling, with hands on practice building your own threat model.  We also discuss the modern security organization of 2024.  The Collection Management Framework (CMF) will be discussed, helping to clarify what cybersecurity data is available and for how long.  After that preparation is done, then we show a few examples of threat hunting, using modern cyber data such as certificates which are available to users of QRadar Network Insights.

Session ID: 5331

Date / Time: Thursday, Sep 14 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM PDT

Now we can't be all work and no play! Here are some fun facts about the speaker that you can bring along with to their session.

Fun Fact about Peter S14:

  • His last name (Szczepankiewicz) is so long we've had to just refer to him as Peter S14 because of the # of letters in it.

  • Believes the greatest answer to really hard math problems is music.

  • Looking at you @Bob Kalka & @Jeff Crume to corner them into playing us some music.
