Just started using (playing with) SSR helping a user build some reports, we have a table where the rows are the apps that belong to him and the columns are months, cell values are cost - quite easy. The user asks for a total column that will show the YTD summation of the rows . . .  . could not find it.
I know in conventional report tables you could use a calculated metric or you could add a total column to the table itself. How is this done in SSR is it available or are we being dense? Thanks, Will.S

Hi @Will Simpson
Sorry for the misunderstanding.  Yes, that sounds like a great feature request.  Can you submit it here?  We're building out a process to collect and update new RFEs on Community.  We're not quite ready to fully roll out the process yet, but if you submit it here, once we have the rest of the process in place, a PM will triage it and you'll be able to receive updates on the status over time.

If it is already on the roadmap, then once we roll out the process, it will be triaged and updated to show as in blacklog or in progress. As the submittor you'll be able to follow it and get notified when that status changes.
Kind regards,
Debbie

We have to remember that SSR is a totally separate product from CT, and can draw data from different modules.
We've done some work with it, but not that much. I know we can create calculated metrics, but haven't done it yet. Might give it a shot today or tomorrow.
Something else that we're sorely missing is the ability to filter in the report tables. @Gulcin Menekse, our great CSM, told us yesterday that the feature is in the pipeline, due within the next months.

Guillermo is correct in his statement that  SSR is outside of CT, but that is actually one of the biggest benefits of SSR - because its separate from CT it can be used to report across multiple Apptio products so you'll be able to have data from your various Apptio projects in the same reports.  This wasn't really possible with Report Studio.
Yes, the filters are coming along with many other great features.  Stay tuned!

I Understand that SSR is its own product but that wasn't the crux of the question,  . . .what I'm trying to clarify is, how you do a YTD column (row summation) at the end of a table? Is it there and we cant find it (in which case please show me how to do it), or, is this not yet possible and in which case can it be added as a feature request? - this came from an SSR user outside of our TBMO.

Sorry if I sounded patronizing.
I have run some tests and haven't managed to that summary column, a very sensible request!
I'll keep trying.

@Guillermo Cuadrado Not at all, just the responses were very generic for what I thought was a specific question, so decided to clarify, I should have been more concise originally. Thanks for your input and efforts.
Seems like its not there yet, if it is then its not obvious enough if three of us cant find it. Development request either way! will.S

HI @Will Simpson,
Sorry about that.  I've fixed the link in my response but here it is for your convenience.
