What is the number "1" on the userid icon top right on FS7300 GUI?

Hi,

Silly question, but something which has bugged me for quite a while. After I log in to our FS7300's GUI, top right is the user icon, and it has a blue circle with the number "1" in it. What does this 1 mean? When you click on the user icon to bring down a vertical black column, which shows "User name/Role/Logout", it has no representation or option of what the 1 means. When you get red circles with numbers in them for event log errors, that shows in the drop down with a link to what the issue is, but not the blue circle with a 1 in it. By the way we are on 8.7.0.2 code level.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,

I believe that this indicates that there is one active user session associated with your login. It’s essentially a session counter rather than a notification indicator.

Hi Andy, I logged in to one of our systems, and in fact I do see a "3".
In my case, the "3" indicates the number of "Suggested Actions" upon opening the menu.

Hi Andy. I think I've seen this sort of behaviour myself if there was a 'recommended action' (or something similar) from that navigation that required the user to have a higher role (e.g. needs Administrator, but logged in as a user with the Monitor role) for the action to be available.  The count badge on the menu was visible even though the action itself was hidden, which is clearly a confusing experience!   I might be misremembering, but it could be worth trying to log in as a user with a higher role to see if that changes the view.
