 What does the resolve button under the configuration recommendations do?

Our instance was recently upgraded and I was looking through the configuration recommendations and noticed the "Resolve" button. I am not able to find any documentation in the release notes about what happens if you click "Resolve". Does anyone know or know of any documentation that touches on it? Does it use an Apptio recommended fix to resolve the issue automatically?

@Guillermo Cuadrado is right. The Resolve button hides the warn​ing. If you click it the message will go away but the next time the system runs through the checks it will reappear unless you go in and address the configuration issue. So, in Guillermo's example, the message will have gone away permanently. Hope this helps!

Hello @Jamie Chaffin. I had exactly the same error messages, and this is what we did, with the help of our CSM:

  1. Clicked on the document link. Looked at the table CT is sending the warning on. Our CSM explained that it was using by default a formula with some kind of Join statement in it. I replaced it with "=1", as it seemed to count something. I checked in the change, expecting the warning to disappear.

  2. Lo and behold! It was still there. I thought some more—kind of in Alice's "curioser and curioser" frame of mind—and then clicked on the Resolve button. The warning went away.

My take: the Resolve button is only to get rid of the message. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't fixed the issue with the AVE table in the first place, but you may want to try.
