Hello, I am experiencing difficulties in installing and accessing SPSS. I purchased IBM SPSS off of studentdiscounts.com (http://studentdiscounts.com/), as cited in my course syllabus. The syllabus also instructed me to download only version 24, 25, or 26. I purchased version 26. However, I have experienced multiple barriers. One being that my MacBook was saying this app is unknown. I worked through apple IT to get it installed. Now that it is installed I entered my license key and am still unable to gain access to SPSS. It downloaded multiple apps into my computer (SPSS statistics license authorization wizard, SPSS commuter utility, SPSS statistics, python3 for SPSS, and python2 for SPSS). When I try to open SPSS statistics app. I am directed to server login:local computer and cannot go any further. Please help. Thank you for your time and help

Hello @Mercedez Delgado

I am assuming that you have a mac with macOS 14.x (Sonoma) or 15.x (Sequoia).  Unfortunately IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and earlier releases are not compatible with that version of macOS.  The first compatible version of IBM SPSS Statistics for macOS was version 29.0.2.0 (20).

Interim Fixes for version 27.0.1.0 and 28.0.1.1 were delivered, however 29.0.2.0 needed no such interim fix applied.  The current release is 30.0.0.0 (172) and is fully compatible with both macOS 14.x (Sonoma) or 15.x (Sequoia).
