 SPSS Server Login issue

Hello, I was able to download SPSS Statistics application to my laptop but when trying to open any content I am directed to a server login. When I input my laptop, I continually have gotten an error message that the attempt to connect to the remote server has failed. I have ensured that I have no firewall blockages and have updated everything to the latest versions of software. I am at a loss for trying to get access to my assignments and am nearing a homework deadline. Please advise.

The IBM SPSS Statistics client software is comprised of a frontend (the 'stats.exe' process on Windows) and a backend process ('spssengine.exe' on Windows).  Check your firewall and any internet security software you have deployed.  These two processes must be allowed to communicate with each other in order for the product to function properly.
