Hi

We are pleased to see that efforts are being put to optimize/improve SOAR performance.

This release includes some significant version upgrades to the technology stack on which SOAR is delivered, as well as associated performance improvements.

Because workloads vary across deployments, performance improvements will differ across the customer base. IBM® internal testing showed a 20% improvement in SOAR performance after the upgrades, but the specific performance improvements in your deployment might be higher or lower.

Is it possible to share more informations about what has been improved in this new version?

Thanks

Hi Lucian,

Sorry about the delayed response. We've delivered a major upgrade on the java based components that make up most of our backend. Some of this is modernisation work to ensure we're on newer and better supported versions, and these often include performance improvements within those versions. This work isn't complete and we'll be continuing it into the coming year but 51.0.8.0 was a major milestone on this journey.

In parallel with this, between V51.0.7.0 and V51.0.8.0 we've also overhauled our DB indexes, targeted some specific queries for performance improvements, and reduced internal DB logging. All aimed at generallly improving operational performance.

Hope this gives you some insights and feel free to suggest areas we might look at in the future.
