Good day Apptio Community,

I'm looking for the most efficient way to delete reports.  The challenge I have is that some of our reports have the older permissions structure.  Each report exist with version for each role to view it.  This was changed some time back.  Now I'm left with wanting to clean up our TBM Studio of older reports.



I'm finding that trying to delete these old versions is really tough.  While the studio may show that your deleting them, you really have to wait until the project calculates to know if the deletion took place.  

This has been a issue for years and it took a long time in the past to delete this old permissions reports structure.

Any ideas of how to best delete these reports as I've already a few hour invested.

There is a known issue with the later versions of Apptio when deleting reports. You will need to open a support ticket to have those reports deleted. 

For the (-) I would mention this in the support ticket as well. I am unsure if that is expected or not.

Hey Jeffrey - are you seeing the (-) sign in the project explorer under reports for the reports you are trying to delete? What version of Apptio are you on?

Version 12.9.3-93.

Are you referring to after I select delete to get the (-)?  If so, I used to see that but not right now.  And even when I did, it still was not reliable, meaning it might show it's going to be deleted but after the check in the report still remains.​

@Jeffrey Smith - Hey Jeff!  And a lovely thing we learned a while back at my previous gig is you can delete reports, but if you install/upgrade certain components, they may show up again! πŸ˜±πŸ˜• ​
