Hello,

We have 2 7300's with configured with hyperswap topology and two 7200's are configured with hyperswap. Request is took a snapshot from a volume in 7300 then put this in to a volume in to 7200 as immutable copy. Is this scenario is possible? Even if we don't consider this scenario, is the replication is possible?

PBHA may be a solution but we are using Block Storage CSI driver and it seems its only supported with hyperswap so we are stuck with this. I cant find any info for configuration of Block CSI driver with PBHA.

Hi Yakup,

HyperSwap topology is only HA solution for CSI configuration. And when you are using Hyperswap volume cloning and creating a volume from a snapshot is not supported. check the limitations at IBM Docs.

I recommend reading the IBM Redbooks publication "A Practical Guide to IBM Storage FlashSystem and Red Hat OpenShift Integration: Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Virtualization Use Case" at https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/redp5753.html

chapter 1.6.4 Reference Architecture has, single site HA, two site HA and two site data resiliency designs.
