Regarding the issue I raised, I am setting up the IBM Netezza server using VMware Workstation. Below are the details for your reference:
Steps Taken So Far:
  1. Software Download:
  2. VMware Workstation Setup:
    • I imported the downloaded .ova file into VMware Workstation and launched the virtual machine.
  3. Login Attempt:
    • After starting the virtual machine, I logged into the server using the credentials:
      • Username: nz
      • Password: nz
  4. Error Message:
    • Upon logging in, I received the following message: "You need to enable 'Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI' option in virtual machine processor settings in VMware. Otherwise, SPU virtual machine and NPS will not start."
  5. Database Creation:
    • I am able to create users and databases on the Netezza server without any issues.
Issue Encountered:
  • While I can create users and databases, I am unable to create tables on the server.
  • Additionally, the ODBC test connection fails.
Request:
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve the following:
  1. Correct configuration or steps needed to enable table creation.
  2. How to fix the issue with the ODBC connection failure.
I hope this provides the necessary context. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer to resolve the issue and get the IBM Netezza server fully operational.

In VM machine settings you need to enable this setting (when VM is powered off)

Then power on: should start automatically
