My question relates to PAfE.

To date there are a number of hierarchy aware worksheet functions available in PAfE, eg: TM1VAL, TM1SET, DEFINECALC and a few others.

Legacy TM1 functions exist to retrieve certain structural information.

DFRST
DIMIX
DIMNM
DIMSIZ
DNEXT
DNLEV
DTYPE
ELCOMP
ELCOMPN
ELISCOMP
ELISPAR
ELLEV
ELPAR
ELPARN
ELWEIGHT

These functions are invaluable when building UI's and reports

A large number of Hierarchy aware TI functions were released in Server 11 to manipulate / interrogate structural information but to date there has been no equivalent PAfE worksheet functions / capability.

What is the plan to provide hierarchy aware worksheet functions with similar capabilities to those above / similar to the the TI hierarchy aware functions?

Hi John,

Great question. At the end of 2025, we focused on delivering the new Formula Wizard, which was designed to simplify the creation of PAfE Excel formulas. Our initial release included support for TM1Set, and we are currently in the process of rolling out support for TM1Val.

The Formula Wizard is a key part of PAfE’s future. We plan to continue expanding it with additional formulas. The next two we expect to add are DefineCalc() and a new hierarchy‑aware formula for retrieving and updating attributes.

We appreciate your suggestions , we’ll review your list and consider them for future updates.
