Hello Community,
I m looking for a clear statement mentioning that IBM P10 servers S10XX have a physical TPM module.looking at Redbook I see that all servers have a connector. and from a technical ppt I see confirmation that S1022S has one TPM.Is there any other public source confirming that?Actually I found a presentation mentioning that only E1080 have redundancy.Thank you!
Hi Raef,
Yes, they have a physical TPM that can be serviced. The official documentation (for S1022*, but you can find it by extension for S10x4) shows how to do it.
And yes, only high-end servers have a redundant one.
Hope this helps.
Dear Raef
If you Google with "ibm 9105 trusted platform module", you will see this resulting entry: Trusted platform module card for the 9105-22A .... When you click it, you will see another web page with only one hot link for: Removing and replacing the trusted platform module card in the 9105-22A, 9105-22B, or 9786-22H. This hot link takes you to the same URL as the one provided by Lionel.
I also see the E1080 having redundant TPM.
I see the same in Redbook , which many would call the ultimate " Source of Truth ". ~https://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpapers/pdfs/redp5675.pdf~~
