Let me help:
- Our first Advocacy Badge is IBM Z & LinuxONE Community Contributor and requires 100 points worth of Advocacy Acts.
- On what activities count the most - all Advocacy activities count as they are valuable contributions to our IBM Z & LinuxONE Community!
The activities that tend to earn you higher amount of points are Content Creation (IBM Z or LinuxONE podcasts, blog posts, articles, videos etc), being a speaker at or hosting IBM Z & LinuxONE events, and, of course, Technical Contribution (being part of councils, beta testing opportunities, or open-source projects) - those earn you 50 points (you can add +15 points if they are part of the Opportunities available on our Advocacy Hub)
To make things even easier, we have our Learn More (FAQ) page where the process and each Advocacy Type are explained in details and we also have our "Advocacy Guideline" section where you can find short video demos of some of our key functionalities - those should be very useful resources on the start of your Advocacy journey!
What I can recommend as a start is two easy steps to get you set on your first badge:
- Since you have registered and started your journey, take advantage of our "Unlock Badge Points: create your Advocate profile!" opportunity and earn 65 points as recognition for being an Advocate!
- Apply for one of our Social Amplification opportunities available on the hub, for example "The modernized mainframe: A playbook for maximizing business value", create your social media post and earn 35 points - that's already 100 points and your very first Advocacy badge!
