How would we set up Cloudability to issue a daily email to app owners for the assets spend where they are identified as app owners? e.g. There are 100 apps in my environment, all different owners. Daily, Cloudability would send out a hundred emails to those app owners with (say) the las 7 days of costs. That way an app owner could see if there was anomalous activity.

Hi Stuart,

I was reading the above thread between you and Renee per sending emails out to app owners. Her response is correct, but you also mentioned the ability to notify your app owners to log in when there is something worth investigating.. are you aware of the ability to send email notifications to your app owners (assuming that there is a view that has been created to align with each app) when an anomaly has occurred? You can't set it by %, but you do have the option of using a numeric value - the logic statement is "unusual spend greater than [insert $$ amount]". This option is available by clicking the mail icon in the top right of the anomalies page. I hope that's helpful!

Hello Stuart - I have an update for you. You would need to make a report that gathers the specific details and then have the App Owner subscribe to the report. When an App Owner subscribes to a report the owner will be able to get an email daily with a link to the report.

Thanks Renee -  We're trying to get around (I'm sure the universal issue) that app owners are busy and don't want to log into the tool every day just to see that spend is the same as the day before i.e. no anomaly.  If it doesn't exist, maybe this should be an enhancement. I think we could create the report, but would still need the facility to automatically email the report, rather than a link to the report. Maybe you have other ideas that could help? e.g. if the spend was more than a certain percentage than the day before (maybe through your "Anomaly Detection" functionality?) , you could send out an email alert?  That way the app owner knows when they go to the tool, they are going to see something exceptional.
