 Numeric Attribute issue in Cognos Analytics 12.0.4 reports on a PA 2.1.4 or 2.1.7 database

Hello Everyone,

has anyone faced an issue when using numeric attributes in a Cognos Analytics 12.0.4 Report from a PA 2.1.4 or 2.1.7 datasource ? 

in our environments queries are failing with 

XQE-GEN-0005  Found an internal error

java.lang.IllegalStateException

Text attributes are working fine. 

Thanks in advance for any hints or solution to workaround this problem.

Are you treating them as strings?  Numeric attributes are stored as strings.
