Hi,

We are having problems with instances crashing. The only error displayed in the logs is "mt_CreateEvent: Creation of event failed. GetLastError() = 1450".

I understand that this refers to ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES, it is not an issue with RAM or diskspace, we have checked this.

We have contacted IBM support, they need a "dumpfile" to provide any help at all. However when we try to configure the creation of this dumpfile it does not work, no dumpfile is created. Many different configurations have been tested. We have the same issue in two completely different environments.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution or cause for the issue?

Regards,

Hi Hampus,

Is there a page file configured?

Where IT think there is enough RAM, they sometimes turn the page file off/set to zero which has caused some interesting errors in the past.

Hi George,

Thanks for the reply. Our IT has already checked this page file a couple of times and they say it is configured correctly.

One thing to mention is that we only see these issues during periods when the system is used the most, many users online simultaneously. We see the problem during Budgeting period and after monthly reporting.

If you have an adequate page file, RAM and system heap then maybe the other thing to look at is what you have set MTQ to.

First of all check that it is not set higher than cores and then maybe look at reducing to limit threads and ensure that other OS related processes can still function under heavy usage.
