We are changing the source of existing package but only some of the tables will be changed in the new mode. As a first step we will be creating a new package with new source and the reports which are impacted fully will be mapped to new package.

Eg we will be changing product table and customer table, if we search 'by table' in metadata we can get all the reports which are using that table. But if we take any report it has dataitem from different tables like product, rateplan, bundle etc.
Any option to find which tables (and columns) are used in each report, as there are 100s of reports it will be difficult to do manually.

Or can anyone suggest a way to do this.

Thank you.

Hi Remya,

Did you wrote package as a generic word? I mean, do you use package or data module?

If you use a package, there is an option you can use with Framework Manager.

If you use a data module, there is nothing out of the box.

Best regards,

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for your reply.

We use package.

Thanks

If you are using a package, you need to use Analyze Publish Impact and Finding report dependencies.

I believe it is the answer to what you are looking for: Analyzing the impact of changes to packages - IBM Documentation

Hi Remya,

You may want to have a look at MotioPI from Motio.com.  It enables you to search reports in the content store for a string you specify and update the reports in place with another string.  So you can search an object, see a list of reports impacted, visualise the impacts, validate the reports before the change and re-validate the reports after the package update and the applied changes to the report.  There is a free and a paid version but to accomplish what I just mentioned you need the paid version.
