After installing lsof 4.99.5 on a test server running AIX 7.2 TL05 SP7, I receive errors when querying file systems. Is a solution in the works?
lsof -v - works
lsof -u root - works

It seems that version 4.99.5 is buggy. I can confirm there is the same issue on AIX 7.2 TL05 SP09 AIX 7.3 TL00 SP00AIX 7.3 TL00 SP01
Is the warning indicating that default ("assuming") would work on linux best. but how the real information is missed out for AIX by lsof then?;for curiosity you may check the loglv and related log entries in /etc/filesystem w/ your test-environment for any FS you "lsof"
Same issue for 7300-03-01-2520. And the following warning remains:
lsof: WARNING: compiled for AIX version 7.2.0.0; this is 7.3.0.0.
