Hello Everyone,

I'm very new IWA/IWS. Can anyone tell me what is the exactly differance between IWA and IWS? Both are same or different products? I'm looking for the Administration side like installation and patching etc.. Any training available from the IBM? or any installation documents? 
Why HCL name is coming for IWA/IWS. What exactly HCL role here?

They are the same.
IWA includes IWS as its core component.

  • Workload Scheduler: Where you schedule jobs, jobs stream, tasks, calendars, etc.
  • Workload Automation: How you manage, orchestrate, and optimize those schedules and workflows end-to-end, using advanced tools (AI, cloud) for greater agility and efficiency.

Satesh,  IWA and IWS are the same product.  The name is indicative of the respective license model  - Processor Value Unit (PVU) or per Job based.  IBM and HCL are partners in an intellectual property partnership established in December 2016 with both companies sharing the IP for this product. IBM clients access all product sales and support through standard IBM routes. IBM clients can review support related policies at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/lifecycle/.  HCL handles development and support responsibilities for IBM though existing process and route. Both companies work jointly with clients to define product requirements and roadmap.  HCL markets a functionally identical and HCL branded version of the product for HCL clients.  You can reach me for any technical questions @ philpot.mark@ibm.com.
