Hello Everyone,

I'm very new IWA/IWS. Can anyone tell me what is the exactly differance between IWA and IWS? Both are same or different products? I'm looking for the Administration side like installation and patching etc.. Any training available from the IBM? or any installation documents?
Why HCL name is coming for IWA/IWS. What exactly HCL role here?

Regards,

Sateesh

They are the same.
IWA includes IWS as its core component.

  • Workload Scheduler: Where you schedule jobs, jobs stream, tasks, calendars, etc.
  • Workload Automation: How you manage, orchestrate, and optimize those schedules and workflows end-to-end, using advanced tools (AI, cloud) for greater agility and efficiency.

Satesh,  IWA and IWS are the same product.  The name only applies to the license type used - PVU or PerJob.  As far as HCL - IBM and HCL have a partnership going back almost 10 years now where IBM retains IP ownership, sales and supports the solution worldwide.  HCL provides development and support under the IBM umbrella.  In turn, HCL is allowed to market the solution under their name - HCL Workload Automation.  It is the same solution across the board.  If any other questions please reach out to me @ philpot.mark@ibm.com
