We are in the RFP process for several FS9500 units in a PBPHA topology.

StoreM failed to manage Performance if a 64Gb Adapters are selected.

Errors

  • [FlashSystem 9500 #1] Performance modeling of the replication protocol requested in the workload is not supported on this system. The unsupported replication protocol is FibreChannel for replication type PBR High Availability (HA).

No problem if a 32Gb Adapters are selected.

Any Idea on this issue?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! We have reviewed your ticket and the error message you're seeing is expected and not related to a bug or system issue. Currently, StorM does not support performance modeling for High Availability 64Gb configurations, which is why you're encountering this message. However, you can use 32Gb adapters for modelling (twice the number of ports) for the same results. A single 64Gb port provides the exact same performance as two 32Gb ports and the link speed is not a bottleneck for PBHA configurations.
