 Is there a way to create Apptio Dashboards with the API?

Hello,

I've been playing around with the Cloudability Apptio API & Documentation

I haven't found a way of creating Dasbhoards and widgets using the API.

Is this possible somehow?

Hello Alfonso, I would like to recommend you to have a call with your Customer Success Manager for API related configs/questions, it is the best way to get accurate information on the topic.

Hi Alfonso, 

There is no way to create dashboards using the API. However, you can use the Cost Reporting API endpoint to build a Cloudability Report: https://help.apptio.com/en-us/cloudability/api/v3/cost%20reporting%20endpoints.htm.

The API is primarily about data retrieval.  As @Daniela Velasquez has indicated, you can create a report.  Not a popular answer, keeping things inside of Cloudability, but you can take the data and create some very nice dashboards using Grafana, Tableau, and many others.  My choice is Grafana.  Grafana's HTTP API data source can fetch data from any HTTP endpoint that returns JSON.  You'll need an API key from Cloudability.
