Is there a way to create a drill-through definition with a secondary data package?

I am trying to create a report that has several different visualizations built off of two separate data packages (Package 1 and Package 2). Package 1 is set as the default source. When I try to create a drill-through on a list from a query sourced from Package 2 I get the error: "Drill through definition can only be defined if the query is against the default package."

I am trying to avoid having to create a data module.

Is there any way to bypass this limitation?

Hi Elizabeth, You wrote you don't want to use a data module. But it seems to be the only way according to your post. Maybe you're aware but you probably don't need to build your model from scratch. You just need to insert both of your packages as a source and that's probably it. Afterwards you need to switch the default source of your report to this (uber) data module. Further you need to adjust all paths of the source data elements in your report to the new source. Not beautiful but might do the job.
