Is there a good way to filter in only empty account groups in a view?

Question

We have an account group that labels SOME of the accounts.
I am trying to create a view that will just contain accounts without that account group.
I tried do something like "Account Group" = "(not set)" in the view filters, but then accounts only end up showing inside of the reports and not the dashboards.

Has anyone found a workaround or solution to this that doesn't involve creating a business mapping?

I think the easiest, non business mapping, solution to this @Dominic Nguyen is to put a specific value in the specific Account Group for these Accounts. For example, the value could be "none" or "not applicable". This solution has some benefits over leaving it empty too, since it's categorically telling the end user what the situation is.
